The PowerBear replacement battery gave new life to my crappy old phone.

Note: I'm glad I bought this battery when I did. It's not available now, at least not on Amazon MX.

For years I hadn't had a mobile phone that worked when a friend arranged to have her old Samsung Galaxy S5 muled to me here in Mexico City. Google Maps helps massively in getting to know a new place, especially a city as big as this one.

Although I was so, so grateful for this new tool, the phone's battery would die after a couple hours. Fully-charged before I left for work, the battery indicator read 40% by the time I arrived 37 minutes later. I didn't even use it on the way! Using Google Maps drained the battery in about 30 minutes. When I would take a photo, the battery would drain instantly and I'd have to recharge and restart.
It didn't help to buy a Samsung replacement battery from a shop in Plaza De La TecnologĂa, either.

So at less than $100 Mexican pesos, this PowerBear replacement battery seemed like an inexpensive risk to take.

I'm glad I gave this battery a try.

Here's how it changed my life:
  • Finally, I could play Sleepa all night long and wake up to still have battery life.
  • Finally, I could use Google Maps without fear of getting stuck in a strange neighborhood and not know where the nearest Metro station was because my phone had died.
  • Finally, I could safely take a photo whenever I wanted.
A little under 4 months later I'm still happy with my purchase although the battery doesn't hold a charge like it used to. I would gladly buy a new PowerBear battery if Amazon Mexico still had one. :-(

Final word:

PowerBear replacement batteries are inexpensive and reliable upgrades.
